Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope the Holiday season this year is much more delightful than the previous year for everyone. I hope everyone has an opportunity to either host family or plans to travel to see your loved ones. I am personally extra grateful to have this opportunity to spend my first holiday season as president of this great organization.

The last two years have been extremely taxing for all businesses and organizations. Just as everything started to feel as normal as it possibly could have; it seems that we all have been hit hard with inventory shortages and price increases in the last few months. It almost seems like we are unable to catch a break in these tough times.

“When everything seems to be against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.” Henry Ford

I am a true believer that there is a silver lining in every challenge in life. We have taken this time to evaluate how we can best move the inventory we do have on hand as well as our current pricing in the market.  One of the most overlooked things about our association is our willingness to assist our members. I have reached out to many of our partners in the past few weeks with much success in finding items manufacturers did not have in stock. I believe together we will all come out stronger in the New Year.

On behalf of the Equipment Service Association, I would like to thank Rick Lindemann for his service to the organization. Rick took the association under his wings and helped guide us to a better future. For many years it felt as if ESA was an extension to Dakota Fluid Power. As Rick had lent us his staff and company resources to the association. Eventually, Rick led us to our current home with Seven12 Management. Which I believe has turned out to be a perfect partnership for ESA.

Rick, you have always been just a phone call away. Willing to answer any questions at any time of the day. You have always been a professional and excellent leader for this organization. I hope to lead by your example and wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Till Next Month.
